Project Summary:

Bourne Leisure has 22,000 Owners across 34 Holiday Parks located around the UK. Each Owner is mailed a Park specific transpromotional statement of account on a monthly basis which has historically been carried out in-house using laser printers and manual fulfilment. A business need to take the mailing out of house was identified in order to improve efficiency and quality of the mailings. The key challenges to automate the mailing and take it out of house were as follows:

  • Improve the quality / understanding of the transpromotional statements / account activity
  • Automate the process and make it more efficient and cost effective
  • Work with the existing database in order to output the information from a number of sources
  • Include transpromotional personalised marketing messages within statements
  • At the beginning of 2008, Bourne Leisure employed RPM to manage this project for them.


  • The Bourne Project has proved to be a huge success in a number of areas:
  • Improved quality of statement communication with the Owner base
  • Improved cash flow
  • Reduction in call volume from Owners not understanding their statement activity allowing the cash collection team to concentrate on other tasks
